Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness – a common cause of chronic symptoms

PPPD is not merely a diagnosis of exclusion, but a common functional vestibular disorder requiring structured assessment and multidisciplinary care.

KEY POINTS OF THE WEBINAR

  • Why PPPD / 3PD is one of the most common causes of chronic dizziness, accounting for about one third of long-standing cases and occurring as frequently as BPPV and vestibular migraine
  • How to approach diagnosis through audio-vestibular testing and neuroradiology to exclude structural causes, followed by the right clinical questions to verify whether the patient meets the diagnostic criteria introduced in 2017
  • Dr. Karlberg’s clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of PPPD, with a focus on the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration for successful management

This webinar will provide clinically valuable insight into a highly prevalent but still underrecognized disorder, helping clinicians refine both their diagnostic reasoning and their therapeutic approach in patients with persistent dizziness.
