SYNAPSYS VHIT

SYNAPSYS VHIT
SYNAPSYS VHIT is a unique system that represents a fundamental step forward in the evaluation of the vestibular system.
It does not require the patient to wear any goggles: all results are obtained from the analysis of the patient's head and eye movements, recorded from a remote camera.
SEPARATE ANALYSIS OF EACH SEMICIRCULAR CANALS
SYNAPSYS VHIT is a revolutionary analysis of the six semicircular canals. This examination allows a separated analysis of the response of each canal by making rapid head movements.
In cases of pathologies that affect both low and high frequencies, the lateral Head Impulse Test gives the same information as the caloric tests, but much faster.
The SYNAPSYS VHIT test highlights the associations between affected canals. It also helps to detect diseases that only affect the vertical canals.
PHYSIOLOGICAL MOVEMENTS, NON-INVASIVE TEST FOR THE PATIENT
The SYNAPSYS VHIT system uses a unique technology that makes it very easy to use: a camera is positioned 1 meter far from the patient and frames his face, while the doctor performs the maneuvers on his head. Unlike other VHIT systems, the SYNAPSYS VHIT does not require the patient to wear a mask, thus increasing his comfort and reducing the artifacts introduced by involuntary movements of the mask.
Thanks to the automatic identification of the examined canal and the visual indications provided by the software, it has never been so easy and fast to obtain correct stimulation.
ANALYZE EACH CANAL AT A GLANCE
The SYNAPSYS VHIT test is simple and fast (takes less than 5 minutes) and offers valuable information on the functioning of semicircular canals; it also describes the saccadic phenomena.
The SYNAPSYS VHIT system software simultaneously analyzes head and eye movements, monitors the quality of maneuvers and provides immediate results for each canal during acquisition.
IDEAL TO COMPLETE YOUR VESTIBULAR ANALYSIS
The SYNAPSYS VHIT system is the result of many years of collaboration between Dr. Ulmer, Synapsys and leading research centers.
SYNAPSYS VHIT is available in two upgradeable versions, Screening and Evolution, which cover the different needs. The Screening configuration allows the analysis of the side canals only, while with the Evolution it is possible to analyze lateral, anterior and posterior canals.
Complementary to the VNG examination, the SYNAPSYS VHIT analyses each semi-circular canal at high frequencies. It can therefore detect pathologies that could not be detected with the traditional VNG examination.
