SYNAPSYS VHIT

SYNAPSYS VHIT is a unique system that represents a fundamental step forward in the evaluation of the vestibular system.
It does not require the patient to wear any goggles: all results are obtained from the analysis of the patient's head and eye movements, recorded from a remote camera.

SEPARATE ANALYSIS OF EACH SEMICIRCULAR CANALS

With SYNAPSYS VHIT, investigating all 6 high-frequency semicircular canals, as well as analyzing the strategy of generating saccades (overt and covert), has never been easier and faster. Thanks to video and audio prompts during the examination, the software guides and assists the operator in executing the maneuvers accurately.
By detecting the direction of the patient's head movements, the system automatically identifies the investigated plane (horizontal, vertical RALP, or vertical LARP), enabling the operator to conduct the entire examination without ever moving away from the patient. Discover a new level of simplicity and efficiency in vestibular assessment with SYNAPSYS VHIT.

NON-INVASIVE TEST FOR THE PATIENT

The SYNAPSYS VHIT system uses a unique technology that makes it very easy to use: a camera is positioned 1 meter far from the patient and frames his face, while the doctor performs the maneuvers on his head. Unlike other VHIT systems, the SYNAPSYS VHIT does not require the patient to wear a mask, thus increasing his comfort and reducing the artifacts introduced by involuntary movements of the mask.
Thanks to the automatic identification of the examined canal and the visual indications provided by the software, it has never been so easy and fast to obtain correct stimulation.

ANALYZE EACH CANAL AT A GLANCE

The SYNAPSYS VHIT test is simple and fast (takes less than 5 minutes) and offers valuable information on the functioning of semicircular canals; it also describes the saccadic phenomena.

The SYNAPSYS VHIT system software simultaneously analyzes head and eye movements, monitors the quality of maneuvers and provides immediate results for each canal during acquisition.

IDEAL TO COMPLETE YOUR VESTIBULAR ANALYSIS

SYNAPSYS VHIT is available in 2 scalable software versions:

  • VHIT Basic, for the analysis of the lateral canals only
  • VHIT Plus, for the analysis of all the six canals

Complementary to the VNG examination, the SYNAPSYS VHIT analyses each semi-circular canal at high frequencies. It can therefore detect pathologies that could not be detected with the traditional VNG examination.

NEW FEATURES

The new SYNAPSYS VHIT features a USB 3.0 camera with a native resolution of 1456 x 1088 pixels and equipped with an advanced daylight filter, ensuring outstanding image quality and optimal performance in various lighting conditions.
The removal of the motors, together with the new camera and the new lens with a focal length of 20 mm, has introduced an increased depth of field, from 1-2 cm to approximately 10 cm, which ensures greater precision when adjusting eye framing and improved diagnostic accuracy.
Finally, the device stand has been redesigned, allowing the operator to adjust its height from 71 to 107 cm using just one hand.
