IMC (Inter Module Communication) usually called AutoREM or similar, allows direct communication between the hearing aid (HA) fitting software and the Real Ear Measurement (REM) software, through the popular hearing care software Noah. IMC direct communication is needed by hearing care professionals to perform the hearing aid fitting against a prescribed target by acquiring in-situ measurements automatically.
Using IMC, the HA fitting software controls the communication process with the REM device autonomously and gets the measured data directly from the REM software.
Maestro software, which controls the Inventis REM system Trumpet, is officially IMC compliant with the following hearing aids software:

We are honored to announce the third and final lecture in the series managed by a International Respected Expert: Prof. Soumit Dasgupta, Consultant Audiovestibular Physician/Neurotologist and Clinical Lead in Paediatric Audiology, Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool.
A primary attribute for proper functioning in life is gaze stabilisation. This enables a subject to track objects, orient in space and perceive a three dimensional existence. Since control of eye movements in the brain is highly site and topography specific, different abnormalities indicate the site of lesion in different areas of brain that are extremely sensitive and may predate imaging findings. To date more than 50 different eye movements are known, all of which tell a story and leads to a concrete diagnosis of neurological pathology.
This lecture discusses these eye movements with the author’s personal collection of more than 80 abnormal eye movements.

In collaboration with VIS - Vestibology Italian Society directed by Prof. Augusto Pietro Casani, we announce the webinar “Selective canal impairment on video-HIT in peripheral vestibular diseases”.
The introduction of modern tools assessing otolith and ampullary reflexes in the high-frequency domain (VEMPs and video-HIT, respectively) has enabled a fast functional analysis of all inner ear receptors, offering new interpretations for end-organs and afferents abnormalities detected in patients with cochleo-vestibular pathologies.
The literature review highlights how vestibular disorders could result in specific lesion patterns, including selective dysfunctions involving a single receptor.
A series of patients with isolated impairment of a semicircular canal at the video-HIT will be presented and discussed. Each selective canal dysfunction will be correlated to the remaining clinical-instrumental data and related inner ear pathology. The underlying hypothetical pathomechanism accounting for each single scenario will be provided, with the help of pertinent bibliographic support.
